To record and playback sound, follow these steps
| 1. | Check the microphone cable is plugged into the sound card (or another device is connected to the Line In input) |
| 3. | Select the sound format required (sample rate, number of bits, etc ) |
| 4. | Start recording by clicking on the circular record button, or selecting Record from the menu. |
| 5. | Sound data will be buffered into the RAM of the computer as it is recorded. |
| 6. | When you have finished recording click on the square stop button, or select stop from the menu. |
| 7. | To play back the sound in the buffer click the triangular playback button, or select playback from the menu. |
